The Clare County board will have to find a new senior hurling manager after Davy Fitzgerald stepped-down last night.
The 45-year-old has ended his four-year tenure in charge of his native county after a meeting of the senior players on Monday night. During his time in charge, Fitzgerald led the Banner to the 2013 All Ireland title as well as their first National League title in almost 40 years.
