Ireland Manager To Announce Squad For Qualifier

Ireland manager Martin O'Neill will today name his extended squad for the World Cup qualifier against Austria.

There's concerns over the fitness of Shane Long, James McCarthy, John O'Shea and Stephen Ward ahead of the trip to Vienna, but O'Neill is likely to include all four players in his provisional panel. He could also be tempted to hand a call-up to striker Scott Hogan, who has previously asked for more time before committing to international football.
