longford's damien sheridan retires from intercounty action
Damien Sheridan has called time on his intercounty career. The Dromard goalkeeper has been a virtual ever-present with the Longford panel since 1999. Although Sheridan departs, it appears as if Jack Sheedy will be handed another year in charge of the Longford footballers. Sheedy oversaw the shock of this year's Championship, when Longford beat Derry in round one of the All Ireland qualifiers.
