mccarthy signs new contract at ipswich
Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy has signed a new three-year contract. His first full season in charge of the Championship club saw them narrowly miss out on a play-off place. McCarthy took over from Paul Jewell in October 2012, helping them avoid relegation. Assistant boss Terry Connor has also agreed a new three-year deal.
