Rory McIlory says it was "inevitable" he'd lose the world number one ranking to Jordan Spieth. He's been overtaken by the American - who finished second at the US PGA Championship behind winner Jason Day from Australia. Spieth won two of the sport's "major" tournaments this year, while McIlroy wasn't able to get his hands on any of the big four titles - though he missed The Open through injury.
