Cork Couple Held Hostage

A county Cork couple has been taken to hospital after being held hostage this morning.

Two men in their 20's have been arrested after a Garda negotiating team was called to the scene at St Mary's Road in Mayfield at about 4.30. The situation was brought under control just after 9 o'clock. A male and a female in their 50's were taken to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries.
