The Chief Medical Officer says Covid-19 deaths have stabilised and should decline in the coming weeks.
101 deaths were recorded on Tuesday - the highest since the pandemic began - and 94 on Wednesday. Over 1,000 were reported in January, which was almost a third of the country's total since last March. But Dr Tony Holohan says he expects fewer deaths in the coming weeks.
