Debate over county wexford's roads continues
Areas of Clonroche and Courtnacuddy were highlighted on South East Radio's Morning Mix as residents say the County Council have refused to resurface roads because of a lack of funding. But locals believe more money is being spent on patching potholes. Courtnacuddy's Kathleen Fitzpatrick has criticised the government over the property tax which she believed would have been given to the council which could have been used to repair the roads. Road Engineer with Wexford County Council Noel O'Driscoll says they're budget has been continually reduced. He says they now having 5 million euro to address road problems - down from 12 million in 2008.
