E.s.b. crews work to restore power after storm
ESB crews are continuing to restore power to around 5,000 customers across the country following high winds over the past three days. Technicians worked from early morning yesterday to restore supplies to 65,000 customers. Network teams recommenced work this morning in an effort to repair over 970 faults-with the south and south west of Ireland the worst hit areas. Some new faults overnight has also increased the work for crew members. The ESB says many of the faults have been caused by falling trees and branches and these need to be cut and removed before the fault can be repaired and supply restored.
