Emergency services called to aid ship off hook head

Emergency services are off Hook Head this evening following reports of a cargo ship being in difficulty

Two all weather lifeboats are at the scene along with the Rescue 117 helicopter The position of the ship  is halfway between Kilmore Quay and Dunmore East in a strong southerly gale
