Festivals across county wexford secure grant aid
Twenty five thousand euro in funding has been announced for festivals in County Wexford. Nationally, Fáilte Ireland has allocated five hundred thousand euro in grants for 175 regional festivals and events. The Wexford Fringe Festival is to benefit most from the allocation of grants by Fáilte Ireland wth four thousand euro awarded for the May event. While three thousand euro is to be given to The Kennedy Summer School, the Wexford Food Festival and the Strawberry Festival. The Spiegeltent Festival has been awarded two thousand euro along with the New Ross Piano Festival, the Battle of Vinegar Hill Re-enactment, Art in the Open and the Wexford Maritime Festival. While the 29th Rosslare Small boats festival and the AIMS Choral Festival are to be given a thousand euro each. It's hoped the events and festivals will continue to attract people to County Wexford adding to the local economy.
