Government Stability A Concern

Concern is being raised about the stability of the Government following the deal on Garda pay.

The Labour Court recommendations aimed at averting the first Garda strike in the history of the state look set to cost the taxpayer forty million euro. Several public sector unions have been meeting over the course of this weekend to discuss the impact of the agreement. The Communications Minister Denis Naughten is also reported to have echoed concerns about the future of the cabinet to media outlets this morning.
