Loftus Hall, Ireland’s reputed most haunted house, has been sold for 3 million EURO. The 27.68-hectare property, overlooking Hook Peninsula and Hook Lighthouse, has been acquired by investor Patrick McDermott, an accountant with a background in beef farming from County Meath. Originally built in 1870-1871 on the site of Redmond Hall, which dates back to 1350, Loftus Hall is a three-story, 9-bay house with over 2000 square meters of space. The Irish Times Reports that McDermott plans to complete the restoration of the property, which was started by the previous owners, and transform it into a luxurious 22-bedroom hotel, featuring dining rooms and guest lounges.
