Minister howlin rushes through new legislation
Irish Water will officially become subject to Freedom of Information law from today. A special procedure is being rushed through the Dáil so the new utility will be subject to Freedom of Information requests, without the need for a full change in the law. The rules, being proposed by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin will be retrospective, and take effect from last July.
