New research shows the number of women giving birth by C-section is on the rise.
A study by the ESRI, UCD and Trinity College shows its increased from 7% in 1984 to 30% by 2014. The increase has been attributed to a number of things including older mothers, higher obesity levels among pregnant women and a surge in multiple births.
