Theresa May has triggered the process of leaving the EU.
Her letter - invoking article 50 - has been received by the European Council president in Brussels. It starts a two-year period of negotiations before the UK ceases to be a member state. The Prime Minister's addressed Parliament - and hailed an 'historic moment' from which there is no turning back.
