New mobile phone provider launches today
Ireland's newest mobile phone operator says it hopes to create 50 jobs over the course of the next five years. iD, which is operated by Dixon's Carphone, is being launched today just two months after the service went live in the UK. The company says its offering is unique and based purely on market research carried out in Ireland. General manager of iD Hamish White says significant funds are being put into the venture. "The company is really investing heavily in the opportunity, so there's 30 million investment going into launching the company over five years - and we have created up to 50 new jobs" he said.
