New ross to get new fire station
New Ross is to get a new fire station. The announcement is part of a 40 million euro programme to build 16 new stations and refurbish a further 10 across the country. The other areas getting new fire stations are; Tuam, Kanturk, Virginia, Macroom, Cashel, Loughrea, Clonakilty, Ballyjamesduff, Manorhamilton, Kilmacthomas, Castleblayney, Urlingford, Nobber, Crossmolina and Dunleer. It's expected that the Wexford project will get approval to go to tender in 2018 - with delivery of the new building 1 to 2 years after that.
