North korea says it's detonated hydrogen bomb
The UN security council has called an emergency meeting today as North Korea says it's detonated a hydrogen bomb. The secretive state claims it's successfully tested one of the weapons - which creates a more powerful blast than is generated by uranium or plutonium. But South Korea's intelligence agency says it's yet to detect radiation which would come from such an event.
