Psni: this morning's bomb in belfast was designed to kill
The PSNI says this morning's bomb in Belfast was designed to kill. A serving prison officer is currently undergoing surgery after being seriously injured in the blast in the Hillsborough Drive area of the city. The 52-year-old has served as a prison officer for 28 years. It's understood the bomb was placed under his van and detonated a short distance from his home as he drove to work.
