Gordon Doyle, who trains in New Ross, had another fine success today when Foritsa won the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase. at Thurles. Foritsa was Doyle's first winner at the racetrack when scoring last month at Wexford. Today he was very impressive at odds of 4-1 under jockey Adam O'Neill in the colours of New Ross man Harry Williams. And JJ Slevin, son of trainer Enniscorthy Shay, had his first winner at the racetrack today at a bitterly cold Thurles. Slevin, 21, got a cracking tune out of 14-1 chance Chapel Garden, who won the Curaheen (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.
