Reductions in sick leave pay
Sick pay for those in the public sector is to be halved next year. New rules being introduced by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin come into effect on March 1st next The government hopes to halve the annual bill of 500 million euro for sick leave by the move.
