A major operation is underway off the the Arklow coast to locate a missing fisherman. The search follows following unconfirmed reports that a man is in the water. It's believed that a fishing trawler recovered a life jacket this morning at around 9 o'clock and alerted the emergency services. The RNLI, Coast Guard and Rescue 117 helicopter are at the scene along with the Rosslare and Arklow Lifeboat. It's understood the man was working on lobster pots off the Arklow coast at the time of his disappearance.
