Sharp increase in road deaths this year

39 people have been killed on Irish roads so far this year following the bank holiday weekend.

That's 9 more road deaths when compared to the same time last year. Five people lost their lives over the bank holiday weekend following incidents in Louth, Dublin, Westmeath and Mayo.
