The funding, announced by Minister James Browne and Minister for Fisheries Timmy Dooley, will support repair and upgrade works at harbours and piers across the county. The largest allocation of almost €188,000 will go towards structural repairs and underpinning works at Duncannon Harbour. Funding has also been confirmed for projects at Slade Harbour, St Kieran’s Slipway, Arthurstown Harbour, New Ross Marina and Courtown Harbour. In total, projects worth €720,000 will receive €540,000 in Government funding, with Wexford County Council providing the remaining balance. The scheme supports investment in harbour repairs, slipways, safety improvements and marine leisure amenities, with works due to be completed by the end of October next year.
