STABBING DEATH IN GALWAY - ONE ARRESTED A man has died following a stabbing incident in Galway. Emergency services were called to the scene at Cardinal Cushing Road in Mervue shortly after 4 o'clock this morning. A man in his late 30's had been stabbed and was treated at the scene - before being removed to University Hospital Galway where he later died. A man in his 60's has been arrested in connection with the incident - he's being detained at Galway Garda Station. The scene has been preserved and the office of the state pathologist notified.
