Thousands around wexford suffer power failures due to lightning
Last night's lightning has caused a large number of ESB customers to be without electricity this morning. The company says around 1,300 customers lost power in and around Wexford town overnight, with another 2,500 affected by an outage at the Castlebridge substation. There are outages also in and around Fethard and Killinick, with 270 customers affected in Fethard and another 130 in Killinick. The ESB says repair crews are working on the faults and all custtomers should have regained electricity supplies by this evening.
