Over 70 jobs are being lost with the closure of a mushroom growing facility in Tipperary.
McDonald Mushrooms closed this morning with the managing director blaming job losses on the Brexit vote. The mushroom grower has been in operation for 17 years near Tipperary town. Peter McDonald said it was a sad day for him, his family and his workforce. He said he tried everything to keep the facility open and that they had survived the recession.
