The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued an urgent recall for over 5,000 De Vielle Dual Fan Electric Heaters after testing revealed a serious risk of electric shock.
❗ Do Not Use This Heater Consumers are being advised to stop using the heater immediately. The CCPC’s product safety team found that the front grill can break, potentially exposing live electrical parts and creating a shock hazard. “If you have one of these De Vielle heaters, do not use it,” said Gráinne Griffin, Director of Communications at the CCPC. “Five thousand heaters are being recalled with consumers entitled to a full refund.” 🔁 What to Do Check your heater: Look for the De Vielle Dual Fan Electric Heater model. If you own one, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Visit ccpc.ie for full product details and images. This recall follows a Europe-wide investigation into product safety, where authorities tested various consumer items, including heaters, soothers, and highchairs. Previous recalls have also been issued for mini heaters sold via Amazon, though those affected far fewer units in Ireland.
