A Wexford Councillor is urging Uisce Éireann to improve its communication and planning, following the closure of Bridgetown College today for essential works. Councillor Jim Codd, who is also a Teacher at the school, says the work could have been scheduled for a day when the school was already closed, such as later this week or next week. Parents were left scrambling to make alternative childcare arrangements, with many forced to take time off work. While the school will reopen tomorrow, Councillor Codd insists that Uisce Éireann should have chosen a more convenient day to carry out the work.
