The Wexford members of the 57th Infantry group returned home yesterday after their tour of duty of the Golan Heights was delayed for two weeks due to a paperwork error.
The soldiers arrived home to Dublin Airport after spending six months in Syria. Hundreds of family and friends were on hand to welcome the 119 from all over Ireland under the command of Lt. Col Mark Brownen.
