Third-level students across Wexford are invited to enter EirGrid’s CleanerGrid competition, with a top prize of €12,000 (€6,000 for the winning student/team and €6,000 for their institute). The competition encourages students to propose innovative solutions for Ireland’s clean energy transition, with this year’s theme focusing on accelerating offshore wind potential. Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students (below PhD level) from any discipline, applicants can enter individually or in teams of up to six. Finalists will present their projects to industry experts and EirGrid senior management , with prizes also awarded for second and third place. Applications are open now until 19th November .
