Wexford teachers take action over new junior cert. plans
Secondary school teachers across County Wexford will withdraw their co-operation for the planned new Junior Cycle programme from this morning. Two teachers unions - which represent around 27 thousand secondary school teachers nationwide- voted for the action last month, over plans by the Education Minister to replace the Junior Cert. The unions say they have a number of concerns about the new scheme - particularly the assessment process.
