An application for natural gas to be brought to New Ross is to be made to the Commission for Energy Regulation.
Bord Gais Eireann in conjunction with the local Chamber of Commerce is behind the application which will benefit local businesses with a cheap energy supply. The New Ross pipeline could be up and running in two years time if the approval gets the go ahead. Local Councillor Michael Sheehan says the development has jobs potential for the area.
